The transit card must be purchased upon your arrival in Galapagos from the park authorities (this is in addition to the $100 US national park fee). Do you require assistance with any of your arrangements?

Do you know where we can get the transit card? Do we need to get it ahead of time before departing the USA. We are brining more than 300 volunteers in December 07, January and Feb 2008.

As of today, there are no permits available for the Inca Trail until Oct 26. You may want to consider the Lares Trek. It’s a very good alternative. Please refer to http://www.gateofthesun.com/Lares/index.htm for more information.
